Olympic Weight Categories

You should be aware that of all the Oceania countries, Australia has already qualified one male division during the World Qualification event held in Manchester UK in September. This means that Australia will only bring one male athlete to the Oceania Qualification event. Australia qualified one male player in the under 68 kilogram Olympic Division.

By now, it should be obvious to all OTU member nations that they should begin to consult with one another to ascertain which male and female weight divisions will be contested by each member nation.

Australians qualification of one male athlete in the under 68 kilogram division during the Manchester Qualification Event, now provides the remaining Oceania countries with better chance of qualifying for the 2008 Olympic Games.
